Fun Facts #1

Snape hates Neville so much because Neville could've been the Chosen One. If Neville had been the Chosen One, Lily would've survived.

Am I the only one who honestly thinks that Neville would just be completely oblivious to the fact that he was the Chosen One? I feel like someone would have to tell him.

Voldemort can't love because he was conceived under the effects of a love potion.

So, would Tom Sr and Merope hate each other now, or would they still be running around under the impression that they're soooo in loooove?

After the Horcrux in Harry was destroyed, he could no longer speak Parseltongue.

I don't know about Harry, but I'd be pretty pissed if I couldn't speak Parseltongue anymore. That seems like the one and only benefit to having a piece of Voldy in you.

Minerva McGonagall was on the Gryffindor Quidditch team when she was at Hogwarts.

The first thing I imagined when I read this was McGonagall (in all her old woman glory) zipping around on a broom and beating people with a Beater's bat.

Hermione returned to Hogwarts in 1998 to complete her seventh year.

Why? She got to miss a year of school and what does she do? She goes back. C'mon, Hermione, what kind of rebellious, world-saving teen are you?

A person's Patronus will often change to become the loved one of that person because the person's loved one is often the happy thought that generates the Patronus.

But what if their loved one actually turned out to be a complete idiot? Is their Patronus just super mad all the time?

Snape was the only Death Eater that was able to produce a Patronus.

But wait... if, when Fred died, George couldn't make a Patronus, why did that happen to Snape when Lily died? Shouldn't he be the Death Eater with the least happy memories?

George lost the ability to generate a Patronus after Fred died.

I'm pretty sure that, upon reading this, I lost the ability to generate a smile. Thanks, JK, thanks a lot!

JK Rowling often got asked about the proper pronunciation of "Hermione", so she had Hermione explain the pronunciation to Viktor Krum in Goblet of Fire.

But Viktor ended up saying it as "Herm-a-ninee", so wouldn't some people keep saying it like that?

Both Harry and Dumbledore were, at one point, in possession of all the Deathly Hallows.

Yeah, but you know what else they were doing? Dumbledore was working with Grindelwald and Harry had a piece of Voldemort's soul inside of him! It says quite a bit about the people who have the Hallows, doesn't it?
